Last month we shared some of the entries from our contest to find the nation's smiliest pet. As part of the competition we asked entrants to tell us how they kept their pet happy and healthy. There were some fanstastic answers and we have collated some more of our favourites to share with you :)
"Diesel comes everywhere with us, unless it's somewhere he unfortunately isn't allowed."
"He loves play time and trying to pinch any items of clothing/shoes he can get his paws on. His normal walk places include the beach and the park."
"We look after Severus in a number of ways! Vaccinating him, using advocate to flea and worm treat (stopping lung worm) and also using tooth paste and teeth cleaning products to stop plaque building up."
"We keep him active and well behaved by going to training classes to socialise and learn basic skills. Long walks, twice a day as well as mental games to keep the brain working."
English Cocker Spaniel
"I like to keep Oscar happy and healthy by feeding him a stable diet and plenty of regular outdoor adventurous walks to stimulate his mind."
"We also make sure he gets regular vet check ups to keep him happy and healthy".
Border Terrier Cross Patterdale Terrier
"We look after Murray by taking him for plenty of walks combined with feeding him the right amount of good quality food".
"Also, making sure we keeping Murray up to date with vaccinations and making sure his teeth, ears and eyes are in tip top condition!"
Red Border Collie Cross
"Jasper is a big fan of long walks and good, quality food. We also love to take lots of photos of him!"
"We keep him active with plenty of country air, trips to the seaside and he knows where we are going when we ge to Glencoe! Letting him on the sofa when the hubby isn't looking as a bit of a treat and everynow and then, we treat him to his favourite, bits of toast!"
"Mr Kipling, or Kipper as we like to call him, is a very fearful and reactive dog."
"So as well as giving him plenty of mental stimulation at home we hire a field a couple of days a week so he can have a good run around without worrying about his surroundings!"
