NOAH’s ‘charity of the year’ this year is Medical Detection Dogs – they train dogs to help people with life threatening health conditions, giving them greater independence and above all saving their lives on a daily basis. Their dogs are taught to assist people who manage complex health conditions. The dogs are taught to identify the odour changes that are associated with life threatening medical events.
We at the NOAH office were privileged to be invited to an Open Day at the Medical Detection Dogs’ hq in Buckinghamshire, earlier this month. They have made a lovely YouTube video of the day – look out for our own special dog – a puppy called Noah.
