Following the success of May’s ‘Weigh-In Wednesdays‘, the Pet Food Manufacturers Association (PFMA) have announced that they are relaunching the campaign throughout the month of August.
Did you know that 50% of pets seen by vets in the UK are overweight?
To tackle the issue PFMA launched an obesity prevention campaign. The aim is to raise awareness of the issue with pet owners with 2 specific calls to action:
1. To read the feeding guidelines on the pet food packet
2. Monitor their pet’s weight on a regular basis and adjust the amounts fed accordingly
With ‘Weigh In Wednesdays’, pet owners are encouraged to get their pets on the scales to find out exactly how much their pet weighs. Regularly monitoring your pet’s weight is the first step in ensuring they are in healthy condition.
